March 21 1924 February 24 2020
Madaline Emma (Rasor) Young was born March 21, 1924 to Leslie and Gusta(Schafer) Rasor in Darien, Missouri. She went to eternal peace on February 24, 2020. She married James Albert Young on July 3, 1944 in Salina,Oklahoma and to this union two children were born. Madaline enjoyed helping her husband on the farm. They spent their lives working on the farm building their home, raising several different crops and livestock over the years. They spent many hot summers hauling numerous loads of square bales of hay. She always knew where their anniversary would be spent-in the hay field. Madaline loved working in the yard and garden raising beautiful flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed cooking and baking, embroidering, sewing, gospel music, and watching birds (especially hummingbirds). She and Jimmy spent many evenings with family and friends drinking coffee and playing Rook or Dominoes. She enjoyed traveling and camping, usually out West, when they could find time to get away from the duties of the farm. Her ultimate joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Madaline attended Upper Parker School through the eighth grade. She was baptized at an early age at Montauk. She attended Free Holiness Church in Salem. She worked at International Shoe Factory until she decided to be a stay-at-home mom. When Jimmy was in the Navy, she lived for a time in Rhode Island to be closer to him. She is survived by her son Dale Young(LuAnn) of Willard MO; and her daughter Lisa Malam(Charlie) of Bucyrus MO. Five grandchildren: Trent Young (Tammy) of Ft. Smith AR; Aaron Young of Buffalo MO; Trezha Whitaker (Duane) of Castle Rock CO; Lexie Malam (Quincy Williams) of O’Fallon MO; and Skylur Malam(Kaitlyn Palmer) of Republic MO. Three great-grandchildren; James Young, Skylah Young and Mason Young. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Vadna Stagner and her nephew Dean Stagner. She was also preceded in death by several in-laws, cousins, aunts and uncles. If there’s one thing the world should remember and learn from Madaline, it is to love everyone. When we would tell her that we love her she would respond “I love you too. I love everybody.” Her sweet soul truly loved like Jesus, and we all know the world needs more of that.
