Loretta Carol Hendon, 88, of Asheville passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Mission Hospital. A native of New York, she was the daughter of the late Norman Rabiner and Bertha Schepps Rabiner. She is survived by her daughter Amy (Greg) Straub, and her son Dan (Ann) Hendon. She was a strong independent woman. Loretta was a talented physical therapist for 46 years, avid tennis player and dog lover. She was a loving mother and grandmother to Nicole, Brian (Fon),Lauren and Alex (Sabrina); and great grandmother to Liam. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Asheville Humane Society, Tri County Humane Society, or the ASPCA.
