Loren’s Obituary Loren Dale Stumbo, 88, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. The Lawrence county native was born June 2, 1931 a son to the late Roy and Violet (McGuire) Stumbo. Loren was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertha (Reed) Stumbo, who passed away in April 2005. Mr. Stumbo attended Waterloo schools. Loren went on to serve in the United States Army. He then worked as a coal mine foreman for Belville Mining Company. Loren is survived by: 3 daughters: Kathy (Dale) Myers of Scottown, Ohio; Gail (John) Patrick of Gallipolis; and Janet (Eric) McComas of Branchland, West Virginia 3 sisters: Carol Glassburn of Bidwell, Ohio; Betty Thomas of Proctorville; and Rose Mannon of Ironton 6 grandchildren And 7 great grandchildren In addition to his parents and wife, Loren was preceded in death by: A brother: Roy Stumbo Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Palestine Cemetery with Pastor Lenny Campbell officiating.
