Kari’s Obituary Kari Lynn Adams, age 59, passed on to her eternal life on May 27th, 2020, in Plano, Texas. Kari was born to Mina Lea and James Martin Andersen on May 3rd, 1961. Kari was a long time resident of Garland, Texas, and retired from a career full of travel, friends, and happy memories at TrailBlazer Health Enterprises, where she began as a temp and rose to become an expert in the field of Medicare, even writing manuals and guidelines which were later used in legislation. After retiring in 2012, she taught herself to sew (Mina would have been proud) and especially enjoyed making quilts. Many a night before a baby shower you could find Kari working deep into the morning putting the finishing touches on a baby quilt. She also loved cooking, particularly anything Alton Brown recommended, and camping with her husband and granddaughter. We will deeply miss her laughter, her care, and perhaps most of all – her cooking. Kari is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Adams; four daughters – Candice, Heather, Samantha, and Jamie; six grandchildren – Talon, Shyla, Paislea, Travis, Serenity, and Mattie; her sister and brother-in-law Laura and John Jones; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Benny, Bev, Trinia, and Robert; and eight nieces and nephews – Sydney, Morgan, Abby, Corey, Anita, Melissa, Jennifer, Sara. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, who were with no doubt waiting open-armed to hold her again. A private graveside service will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park.
