CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Irene Collins, 88, died Sunday, May 3, 2020, at her home. She was born in Wise County, Virginia; daughter of the late Bill and Mary Robinette Bellamy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulis Collins, and one son, Thomas Collins. Irene was the last survivor in her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Katherine Seaver and husband, Roger of Coeburn, Virginia and Kimberly Ann Kennedy and husband, Gary of Castlewood, Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Dana Collins; three granddaughters, Tami Renee Seaver, Melissa Collins, and Michelle Collins; a special nephew, Tub Salyers; and several nieces and nephews. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations set by the CDC of no more than 10 people gathering at a time, the Collins family will have a private funeral service for Irene Collins in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. John McCarroll officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Easton and the Staff of C-Health in St. Paul, Virginia, and to the Castlewood Rescue Squad.
