Freddie Cox of Conowingo, MD, age 71, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020. Freddie was born on September 19, 1948 in Havre de Grace, MD to the late Charles Alfred Cox and Goldie (Roark) Cox. Freddie was a great father figure; he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching the Baltimore O’s and Iron Bird Games at Cal Ripkin Stadium and also liked bowling and playing horse shoes. Freddie enjoyed eating Maryland crabs and crab cakes with Old Bay. He will be lovingly remembered for his great sense of humor. Freddie is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Delois Cox; daughter, Goldie M. Cox of Conowingo, MD; daughter, April Lynn Kelly and her husband David of Conowingo, MD; 2 granddaughters: Virginia Cox and Makayla Kelly; 2 step-grandchildren: Dakota Kelly and Merriah Kelly; sister, Cora Taylor of Havre de Grace, MD; brother, Donald Cox of Aberdeen, MD. In addition to his parents, Freddie is preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie Cox and sister, Dreama Cox. Services for Freddie will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
