Emma Jane was born October 31, 1928 in Gillespie County to Ben and Nettie Geistweidt Evers. Emma Jane married Benno Eckert April 24, 1949 in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Doss, Texas Emma Jane is survived by three children and their spouses: Diane and Curtis Staudt of Fredericksburg Gordon and Diane Eckert of Fredericksburg Susan and Tommy Brandenberger of Halletsville Six grandchildren and their spouses: Jason and Jana Eckert of Longview Sommer and Brian Boecker of Cedar Park Scott and Jennifer Staudt of Fredericksburg Kyle Staudt of Fredericksburg Kelly and Keith Krobot of Marble Falls Tracy and Blaze May of Vega Sixteen great grandchildren Sisters: Gladys, Mrs. Wallace Lively Vernell, Mrs. Presley Arhelger Sister-in-laws: Dorothy and Betty Eckert Emma Jane was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, or to the charity of one’s choice.
