(Ford) Brayton of Tiverton, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 97. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Harold Brayton, her sister Jean and her brother John (Jack) Ford. Born in Fall River, Elsie was the daughter of the late John Ford and Sarah (leather) Ford. Elsie lived in Tiverton all of her life and worked on the family owned Ford Dairy Farm until she retired. Elsie was a private person who was well known, particularly by those in the farming community, and local establishments. Elsie loved to share her knowledge of history and stories of Tiverton, in addition to being very passionate and knowledgeable about farming. Her stories could bring you back in time, to the days when horse and buggies traveled down the old Main Rd in Tiverton. Elsie was an active member in the Grange for many years, and frequented farmers auctions regularly. Elsie was a graduate of Durfee High School.
