She was born on August 22, 1952, in Union Church, MS, to Woodrow and Octavia Queen Humphrey. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ellis Bledsoe, Sr.; sister, Carolyn Humphrey; brother, Woodrow Humphrey; and grandchild, Marcus Bledsoe. Survivors are her sons, Cornelius Bledsoe and wife Amanda and Ellis Bledsoe, Jr. and wife Kenya; grandchildren, Cornelius Bledsoe, Miles Bledsoe, and Adair Bledsoe; brothers, Willie D. Humphrey, Jessie Humphrey, Eugene Humphrey, and Curtis Humphrey ; and a host of family and friends.
