Obituary of Barbara Jean Marczuk Barbara Jean (Brey) Marczuk, 91, of Upper Gwynedd Township, PA, passed away Monday morning, May 11, 2020, at Abington-Lansdale Hospital. She was the wife of the late William K. Marczuk, who passed away November 13, 1986. Born September 17, 1928 in Marlborough Township, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Hannah (Schwager) Brey. She was a graduate of East Greenville High School Class of 1946. Upon marrying William K Marczuk in 1951, they built their home in Upper Gwynedd where she resided for the rest of her life. She worked at the American Olean Tile Company in Lansdale until the birth of her first child. She was a devoted wife and mother and caring for her daughter Barbara Ann was the main focus of her life. She was the Den Mother of her son’s Cub Scout Troop# 553 Den 1. Mrs. Marczuk was a founding member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and faithfully cleaned the church altar for many years. She was always known as Jean and Jean loved her family! There were many backyard family picnics, especially on the 4th of July. She loved to cook and bake. Jean enjoyed sewing and especially loved making her granddaughters’ Halloween costumes. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and bird watching. Surviving is a son, William J. Marczuk and his wife, Marie A., of Upper Gwynedd Township, PA; a sister, Nancy Fritz Cope, of Red Hill, PA; and two granddaughters, Stefanie and Laura Marczuk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ann Marczuk, on May 2nd of this year. Because of the ongoing health crisis and restrictions on gatherings, a private viewing for the immediate family will be held followed by burial at St. John Neumann Cemetery. A public service will be announced when restrictions have been lifted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Abington-Lansdale Adult Day Care Center, 51 Medical Campus Drive, Lansdale, PA 19446 and/or Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446 Arrangements are by R.
