Obituary Mr Winston Bowman Carroll, Jr, 62 of Sparks passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Carroll was born May 12, 1957 to the late Winston Bowman Carroll, Sr & Caroline Cifu Carroll. He had lived in Cook County for 24 years and once was an EMT in Las Vegas. Mr. Carroll proudly served in the United States Marines, and was a proud patriot, and American. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and served as a deacon at the church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Connell Carroll of Sparks; daughters, Christa Leigh (David) Hartzog of Sparks, and Katie Rose (Will) Kelley of Adel; grandchildren, Brie Hartzog, Dracy Hartzog, Dru Hartzog, Gideon David Hartzog, Anna Kelley, and Allie Kelley; sister, Rose (Ron) Haddix of Las Vegas, NV; aunts, Doris Powell of NC, and Phyllis Hendry of SC; and several nieces & nephews. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2020 at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chad Payne officiating. When conditions related to the COVID-19 Pandemic allow, a public memorial service will be announced. Please postpone all floral tributes until this time.
