Obituary Rosa Lopez Aguilar, age 94, of Ames, passed away on April 7, 2020 at Israel Family Hospice. Due to COVID-19, there will be a private family service at the Adams Funeral Home. Rosa Lopez Aguilar was born on September 5, 1925 to Emeterio Aguilar Pineda and Narcisa Lopez Martinez in Mexico. Rosa’s family moved to Austin, TX when she was just two years old. That is where she lived her life up until the last few years. Rosa loved her family and helping children. She was a nanny for most of her life, until she was no longer physically able. As well as volunteering at daycare centers. She was dedicated to her religion and participated in activities for holidays and special occasions at the catholic churches she attended. In recent years, Rosa moved to Iowa to be with family. She was not in the best health, so she lived with her niece, Maria and her family. Just over two years ago, Rosa moved into the Madrid Home, where she met many people. During her few years there, she was active in bingo and other activities. She recently moved to Accura of Ames due to her family moving to Ames. Rosa is survived by her niece, Maria (Sixto) Uvalle; great-niece, Erika (Ramon Guerra) Uvalle Guerra; great-nephew, Roberto Uvalle; great-great-nieces and nephew, Raymond, Giselle, and Ximena; along with many family members in Mexico. Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Emeterio and Narcisa; and all of her siblings. Rosa López Aguilar nació el 5 de Septiembre de 1925 de Emeterio Aguilar Pineda y Narcisa López Martínez en México. La familia de Rosa se mudó a Austin, TX cuando tenía solo dos años. Ahí es donde vivió su vida hasta los últimos años. Rosa amaba a su familia y ayudaba a los niños. Ella fue una niñera durante la mayor parte de su vida, hasta que ya no era físicamente capaz. Además de ser voluntaria en guarderías. Ella se dedicó a su religión y participó en actividades para fiestas y ocasiones especiales de las iglesias católicas a las que asistió. En los últimos años, Rosa se mudó a Iowa para estar con su familia. No tenía la mejor salud, por lo que vivía con su sobrina, María y su familia. Hace poco más de dos años, Rosa se mudó a Madrid Home, donde conoció a muchas personas. Durante sus pocos años allí, estuvo activa en bingo y otras actividades. Recientemente se mudó a Accura of Ames debido a que su familia se mudó a Ames. A Rosa le sobreviven su sobrina, María (Sixto) Uvalle; sobrina nieta, Erika (Ramón Guerra) Uvalle Guerra; sobrino nieto, Roberto Uvalle; tatarabuelos y sobrino, Raymond, Giselle y Ximena; junto con muchos familiares en México. Rosa es precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Emeterio y Narcisa; y todos sus hermanos.
