Paul Joseph Bowers, 73, of Crisfield and formerly of Anne Arundel County, died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at McCready Memorial Hospital.

Born in Baltimore March 9, 1947, he was a son of the late Walter Joseph and Virginia Rose Bornaman Bowers.  He had been making his home in Crisfield for the past nine years.

A contractor and a US Air Force Vietnam veteran, he loved being on the water fishing and boating; and while in Annapolis, he even enjoyed hand-tonging for oysters with his brother.  He was a man of many talents including woodworking and he had a great love for his pets.  Paul didn’t speak much about his service in Vietnam, but when he could, he told of a young child he was able to rescue and bring to safety.

He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Patricia Ann Bowers; his brother, Robert Bowers of West Virginia; his sister-in-law, Katherine Bowers of Frederick; a nephew, John Andrew “Andy” Bowers of Frederick; and several cousins.

There are no services planned at this time, however memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Somerset County, P.O. Box 493, Princess Anne, MD 21853.
