Paul Joseph Bowers March 09, 1947 – March 15, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Paul Joseph Bowers, 73, of Crisfield and formerly of Anne Arundel County, died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at McCready Memorial Hospital. Born in Baltimore March 9, 1947, he was a son of the late Walter Joseph and Virginia Rose Bornaman Bowers. He had been making his home in Crisfield for the past nine years. A contractor and a US Air Force Vietnam veteran, he loved being on the water fishing and boating; and while in Annapolis, he even enjoyed hand-tonging for oysters with his brother. He was a man of many talents including woodworking and he had a great love for his pets. Paul didn’t speak much about his service in Vietnam, but when he could, he told of a young child he was able to rescue and bring to safety. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Patricia Ann Bowers; his brother, Robert Bowers of West Virginia; his sister-in-law, Katherine Bowers of Frederick; a nephew, John Andrew “Andy” Bowers of Frederick; and several cousins. There are no services planned at this time, however memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Somerset County, P.O. Box 493, Princess Anne, MD 21853. Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home.
