Sympathies message

  1. Born Marjory Anne Wefler to Pauline Hood and Clayton Ray Wefler of Cleveland Heights OH. She was an only child. She married Thomas Lovell Richardson until 1974 and later remarried Paul Bertino. Tom and Marjory adopted two children David and Kenneth. She lived in Maple Glen, PA for many years before moving to North Wales. She also spent many summers in Holgate NJ. Marjory was a force of nature in her ability to help those with deep problems with addition as she had conquered those demons herself in 1972. She was well known in Philadelphia for volunteering for years to help those with addiction and was called upon where others had failed. She volunteered in prisons (I believe including Graterford) for years to help those struggling with addition. Although she was a mere 5′ 2 3/4″, people knew not to mess with her. She spoke often in PA and NJ and even at a national convention. Because of COVID, a funeral was not able to be held to accommodate the many people she knew.
