Dean passed away on April 18, 2020 at Timberidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jasper, Texas. She was born on August 30, 1925 in rural Montague County at Bonita, Texas. She was raised near St. Jo, Texas and lived in Commerce, Texas for many years before moving to Jasper to be near family in 2010. Dean was a loving and faithful wife and mother. She was a former active member of The First Baptist Church in Commerce for over fifty years. Her faith and her love for the Lord was very important to her. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star #208 in Commerce, TX. She served as a Worthy Matron several times and she served on both district and state levels. She served as the church secretary at First Baptist Church in Commerce for seven years and later worked in the family business. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Charles B. Hildebrand and her parents, Herbert and Violet Ice. She is survived by son, Don Hildebrand & wife Cindy of Heath, Texas and daughter, Suzanne Newsom & husband Danny of Jasper, Texas; three grandchildren, Michelle Agee & husband Jason, David Newsom & wife Kelly and James Hildebrand & Vanessa; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Department PO Box 127 Jasper, TX 75951. Services are under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
