Janusz Kuzebski, 79, a longtime resident of Holyoke, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center, after many years of heroic battle with cancer. He was born October 27, 1940 in Ciechanowiec, Poland, son of the late Franciszek and Władysława (Derewonko) Kuzebski. Janusz was a Polish Army veteran and was very proud of his Polish heritage. He was a devout communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke. Janusz worked as a toolmaker and tool grinder for many years until he retired from US Tsubaki. Janusz loved life. He was an avid outdoorsman and greatly enjoyed fishing, flowers, gardening and mushroom picking. He was a Friend of Bill’s for 29 years and helped many “pigeons” over the years. Janusz was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Desormeau, and his brother Czeslaw. He is survived by his beloved and devoted companion of many years, Maria Pastuła; his daughters, Margaret Kuzebski and Eva McCain; and his five siblings, Alicja, Danuta, Elzbieta, and Mieczyslaw. Due to the Corona virus restrictions, a private funeral will be held with burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 330 Whitney Ave., Suite 420, Holyoke, MA 01040 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104. kozikowskifuneralhome.com
