James L. Carter, age 78, of Romulus, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Born on February 17, 1942 in Monroe, he was the son of Glenn and Josephine (Dinsmoore) Carter. On September 24, 1960 he married Elaine Guzik at St. Alfred Catholic Church in Taylor. Beloved Husband of Elaine. Dearest Father of Michael (Ann) Carter, Michelle Koromos and Robin Pousak. Loving Grandfather of Marcus Carter, Kelly (Robbie) Carpenter, April Koromos and Zachary (Megan) Shults. Great Grandfather of Carter Noe, Paislee Carpenter, Henry Carter, Kaylee Carpenter and Lexi Carpenter. Brother of Joan (Gene) Miller, Darlene (Mark) Bolander, Thom Carter and Joy Oz. Brother in law of Sharon Carter. James enjoyed working in the yard, on his tractors and hot rods, and he was known for his love of finding great deals at area garage sales. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John Carter. Due to the circumstances in the world today, a private burial will take place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
