Obituary Harold Dean Bergman, age 81, of Vandalia, passed away at 11:08 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia, Illinois. There will be a private family graveside service. Memorials may go to Ambuehl Cemetery or the donor’s choice. Harold was born on March 14, 1939 in Farina, Illinois, the son of Walter and Clara (Wodtka) Bergman. He married V. Arlene Schwarm on March 19, 1961 in Farina, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, raising cattle, mushroom hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son, Dean Jay Bergman (wife Robin) of Winner, South Dakota; two daughters, Teri Baskett (husband Chris) of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Tina Otto (husband Blaine) of Ramsey, Illinois; sister, Shirley Sieben (husband Glen) of Owasso, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Clara Bergman; wife, V. Arlene Bergman; son, Cory Lou Bergman; and sister, Arlene Owen.
