Donald’s Obituary Donald “Chief” Lawrence LaZore, Sr; 86, of Winterhaven, passed away on March 24, 2020, in Yuma. Born on October 20, 1933 in Syracuse, New York to the late Ruth Farmer and Howard LaZore. He had two brothers, Wally and Luther. He was preceded by his parents and grandchildren, Vanessa and Baby Ocegueda. Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bernice and their six children: Donald, Jr; Kim, RuthAnne, Donna, Johnette and Krista. Donald had a wonderful life, full of love and family. He went on to have 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, who he loved and cherished deeply. Donald was a retired truck driver. He spent his life, loving and providing for his family. He would take his children tobogganing, fishing and even wrestled with them, being outnumbered 6 to 1. In his younger years, he loved bowling and always helped everyone he knew in fixing their vehicles. He was a well-known jokester and even in his last days, he still had a sense of humor and was laughing. He was a very loving father and papa and will be dearly missed by all. “Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest.
