Anne’s Obituary “Fight the good fight of the faith; take hold of the Eternal Life to which you were called.” 1 Tim 6:12 Anne Cavaretta Morris, a resident of Amite, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2020 at Summerfield Senior Living Home in Hammond, La. She was born on November 21, 1934 the daughter of Joseph & Angelina Vilardo Cavaretta and was 85 years old. She married Vernon Morriss from Hannibal , Mo, who proceeded her in death. Through their life together, they lived in LaRange Park, Ill and Dallas,Tx. Anne worked as a secretary at Duncanville Mall inTexas. Upon retirement, she returned to Amite, La. Anne was a loving, quiet, faithful and humble friend to many in Amite. She was a dedicated and loyal member of St Helena Catholic Church. She was a core member of the Thursday Bible Study Group to whom she ministered to many thru the years. She helped the St Vincent de Paul Society of St Helena with the yearly uniform distribution. She was a 10 year member of the Shiloh Homemakers Group in which she served her community by helping individuals as they needed. She enjoyed many trips to the Casinos with the Seniors of Amite. She was a consistent member of Anytime Fitness and encouraged many to join her. She often lead exercise classes weekly with the Senior Citizens group in Amite. She touched the hearts of many in the community and will be truly missed. She is survived by her daughter Terri Morriss of Aurora, Co. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date with a private burial. Mass intentions are preferred. McKneely Funeral Home in Amite in charge of arrangements. Read More
