Alicia U. Smith formerly of Evansville, IN went home graciously to spend the rest of her beloved life with the Lord on Thursday April 23, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. She was born in Evansville September 18, 1963 to Edna Hawkins Smith and Carlton Smith, Sr. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a long-standing member of Memorial Baptist Church. Anyone who met Alicia speaks about her kindness, her infectious smile, and her dry sense of humor. She will be trully missed. Alicia loved to shop for clothes but she especially loved her purses. Alicia attended Benjamin Bosse High School. She continued her education at Ivy Technical College where she received her Associate Degree and went on to the University of Southern Indiana where she studied Business Administration. At the time of her death, Alicia was Operations Manager at Lash Group in Charlotte NC. Alicia was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Hawkins Smith and sister Kim Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughter: Unek Hite of Charlotte; beloved brothers: Juan D. Smith, Carlton L. Smith, Jr. both of Evansville; a very caring aunt: Francelle Baker of Evansville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She has been entrusted to Boston’s Mortuary in Charlotte with celebration of life services Tuesday April 28, 2020 at York Memorial Park in Charlotte. Local arrangements are being handled by R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel. Leave condolences at www.masonbrothersfs.com. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Alicia U. Smith please visit our Sympathy Store.
