Meredith E. Young March 27, 2020 Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Memorial Donation Meredith E. Young, age 37, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 27, 2020. She was born on July 3, 1982 in Darby, PA to Michael and Barbara (Barrett) Young. She was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School, Class of 2000. Meredith spent her adult life working in the communities of Upper Darby and Lansdowne. She dedicated her life to the development and teaching of many children in her time directing the School Age Program at the Lansdowne YMCA. Meredith loved to be with her family and friends; she loved the beach and the 4th of July. Meredith was an extremely generous and giving person. She is survived by her 12 year old son, Landon, brother Matthew, sister Meghan, brother-in-law Chris DiGiovanni, ex-husband Frank Bell and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Due to the Coronavirus, there will not be a funeral. The family plans to have a service in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an educational fund for her son.     We met Meredith about 14 years ago at the YMCA. She was such a beautiful person inside and out! She loved my kids and they loved her! This is truly a loss and my prayers are with you all.
