Mary’s Obituary Mary Lou (Scroggins) Clowers passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at the age of 78 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born on April 22, 1941 to George Monroe Scroggins and Annie Lee (Huffman) in Jerusalem, Arkansas. Mary was one of eleven children. Mary was of the Church of Christ Faith and was a member of the Quail Ridge Church of Christ in Bartlett, Tennessee. Mary worked for 35 years as medical coder at St. Francis Hosptial in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a fan of the country singer Alan Jackson and she enjoyed watching the TV reality series Survivor. One of Mary’s favorite things to do was to go to the beach. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: George Scroggins, Jr., James Scroggins, Johnny Scroggins, and infant Scroggins; and sisters: Marie Byers, Ruby Norwood, Jean McKenzie, and Linda Jones. Mary is survived by her daughter: Elisa Clowers of Cordova, Tennessee; sisters: Betty Burnett of Jerusalem, Arkansas, Loretta Ridling of Solgohachia, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Liberty Cemetery in Scotland, Arkansas.
