“Lizzy”‘s Obituary Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Miss Elizabeth Yvonne “Lizzy” Bentley Miss Elizabeth Yvonne “Lizzy” Bentley, age 7, of Madison, Indiana entered this life prematurely on February 9, 2013 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of Donald A. Bentley, Jr. and Erica Elizabeth Clark. Lizzy, as she was nicknamed, would be transferred at birth to Kosair Children’s Hospital where she spent the next ten months fighting for her life. She was able to go home just before Christmas and her Daddy and Momma took excellent care of her. She loved playing with her toys, listening to music, and watching, “Alice in Wonderland”. She loved to be held and could be a bit stubborn. She had resided all of her life in Madison and had attended first steps. Lizzy was baptized and her family is comforted by that fact. Lizzy died on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 1:15 p.m. at the Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. A LOVING FAMILY Lizzy will be missed by her loving Daddy and Momma, Donald A. Bentley, Jr. and Erica Elizabeth Clark of Madison, Indiana; her paternal grandparents, Donald A., Sr. and Wendy Bentley of Madison, Indiana, Valerie and Monty Mahoney of Rogers, Arkansas; her maternal grandparents, James “Jim” and Candace “Candy” Clark of Louisville, Kentucky; her paternal great grandmother, Daisy Vires of Madison, Indiana; her uncles and aunts, Darin and Brittany Bentley, Corey and Nicole Bentley, Colin and Melissa Bentley, and Amber Bentley Smith; numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents, Donald G. and Connie L. Ferris Bentley, her paternal great grandfather, Clayton Vires, her maternal great grandparents, Henry and Joyce M. Clark and James and Tillie Irvin. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 23, 2020, at 1:00 pm, by Pastor Scott Mays at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Hebron Cemetery near Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Monday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the Downs Syndrome of Louisville or Norton Children’s Hospital.
