Linda’s Obituary Linda Ruth Munro, 69, a resident of the Beaverton community passed away on March 24, 2020 at the Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. Linda was born on November 15, 1950 in Carlisle, PA, the first of four children born to Clyde and Doris (Ankabrandt) Weibley. She was raised in Carlisle, and attended Boiling Springs High School, graduating with the Class of 1968. She married Henry (Hank) Spieler shortly after high school and followed his career in the US Army, which took them first to New Mexico and then abroad to Stuttgart, Germany. In 1975 they divorced. She met Donald E. Munro and following a short courtship they married in June of 1977, making their home initially in Canoga, Park, CA, before moving back to Carlisle, PA and eventually Roseville, CA. They divorced in 1997. Linda then made her home in Fair Oaks, CA until 2018 when she moved to Beaverton to be closer to her daughter’s family. For the past fifteen years, she enjoyed spending her life with George Zenovieff who currently lives in West Sacramento. While living in Germany, Linda had worked at the Base PX. Upon returning to Carlisle, she owned and operated the Carlisle Livestock Market Restaurant for a time. She also worked as an administrative assistant for an Insurance adjuster, a private investigator, the UC Davis Co-op, and finally the Sacramento County Public Employees Retirement office. She retired in 2017. She enjoyed antiquing, crafts, cooking and traveling. She Excelled at word puzzle games, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, frequently taking them to parks and Sunday church services. She was an avid gardener and especially loved fresh-cut flowers. Linda also enjoyed the outdoors including the beach and the falling snow. She enjoyed music, line dancing and attending concerts, and had a soft spot for both stray and farm animals. She will be remembered for her tremendous generosity of spirit and joy of life. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Alison and Ben Weinberg, both of Beaverton, and their two children, Noah and Elinor, as well as her three siblings, Lois, Paul and Wayne Weibley and several nieces and nephews.
