Leon Kreisler of Salem was born on September 18, 1936 in Cole Camp Missouri to the late Omar J. Kreisler and Emma Lodges Kreisler. He went home to be with the Lord on Thursday March 26, 2020 at the age of 83 years, 6 months, 8 days. Leon was united in marriage to Helen Bingham On June 9, 1957. Together they were happily married for 62 years. Leon graduated from Missouri S&T in 1964 with an engineering degree. He served his country in the reserves. Leon worked in the petroleum industries for years. In 1980 he bought his farm and ran it successfully till his death. He served on several boards over the years. He loved to run his cattle and his farm was his pride and joy. He was a caring person who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Leon is survived by his loving wife Helen of the home, Brother, James Omar & wife Donna of Vichy MO, Sister in law Wilma Bingham and husband Gene of Rolla Mo, nephews; Jacob Omar, Bill Hawkins, John Hawkins, Special friends Darrell & Mary Ann Skiles. Preceding Leon in death was his parents and sister Helen Hawkins. Graveside Services for Leon will be Sunday March 29, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Carty Cemetery. Pastor Glen Claxton will be officiating.
