John Michael Mazza, age 65, of Milledgeville, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020. A Celebration of Life for John Mazza will be conducted Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Simmons and Hunter McComb officiating. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm. John was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 27, 1954 to the late Joseph M. Mazza and the late Marie Comer Mazza, and moved to Milledgeville in 1983. He retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections as a Maintenance Supervisor and was a volunteer fireman with the West Baldwin Fire Department. He was a member of Church Central in Milledgeville. John is survived by his wife, Margaret Wall Mazza of Milledgeville ; his son, Jim M. Mazza of Milledgeville ; his granddaughter, Haley Brown of Warthen ; his brothers, James Mazza of Springfield, and Mike Mazza of Macon ; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family has asked, in lieu of flowers, that Memorial Contributions be made to the West Baldwin Fire Department, 398 Highway 22 West, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
