Dora Neitzel February 26, 1937 – March 09, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Dora (Barger) Neitzel, 83 of Franklin, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020. She was born on February 26, 1937 in Franklin, Indiana to Roy and Vertrice (Harris) Barger. She married Carl Neitzel, Jr. She is survived by son, Richard Neitzel; daughter, Gayl Neitzel; granddaughter, Ashley Allender- Rybolt and great-grandchildren, Harvey, Evelyn and Crosby. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Carl, Jr., and siblings, Alice Mullikin and Lonnie Barger. Dora was a 1955 graduate of Franklin High School. She was employed in the medical field. She had worked at Johnson Memorial Hospital; and also worked with Dr. Chappell and Dr. Chitwood. She later was employed by the Johnson County Recorder’s Office where she worked until retirement. Dora enjoyed playing cards, cooking and enjoyed going to the Casino with the Blue Hair Crew. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Special thanks to Community Hospital North, Heart and Vascular Center for their excellent care and compassion.
