Reed, 55, of Pleasant Valley, IL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 28, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1964 to Gail and Claris (Wickler) Reed. Dan owned and operated Reed’s Trucking and was a previous owner of Pearl Valley Cheese. Dan also worked for Darlington Dairy Supply and Kolb Lena Cheese. He enjoyed Fords, antiques, classic cars, , going to auctions, and riding his Harley Davidson, he had a need for speed. Dan also enjoyed jukeboxes, and chocolate lab dogs. He loved sharing stories with his family and friends, and country living. He is survived by his best friend and soul mate Deanna Griffin of Pleasant Valley, IL, siblings; Deb (Jeff Stamm) Birchen of Lena, IL, Dave (Linda) Reed of Winslow, IL, Duane (Tina) Reed of Kent, IL, Denise (Scott Boeke) Reed of Freeport, IL and Dana Reed of Freeport, IL, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Dawn in 2014. Private family services will be held. A memorial has been established in his name.
