Barry N. Phillips, a retired maintenance worker of Grenzebach and life-long resident of Coweta County, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2020 at the age of 65. Barry grew up in Newnan before serving in the National Guard. Afterwards, he worked at Playtex for 30 years, Piedmont Newnan Hospital, and later retired from Grenzebach. Barry enjoyed spending time with his family while fishing on the coast of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina and eating good seafood. He will be missed and remembered always. Barry is preceded in death by his father: D.E., his mother: Opal, sister: Jackie, and granddaughter Ansley Mendoza. He is survived by his wife of 45 years; Brenda Willis Phillips; his children, Brandon N. Phillips (Dawn) of Hartwell, GA, Lauren Phillips of Sharpsburg, GA, and Josh Phillips of Sharpsburg, GA; grandchildren: Tyler Mendoza, Bradley Mendoza, and Lyla Phillips; great grandson: Ryder Mendoza; and his long time best friend, Scott Pettigrew.
