Annie Mae’s Obituary Mrs. Annie Mae Cox Jacobs was born on January 2, 1947 in Winnfield, LA and went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2020, doing what she loved, surrounded by her family. She spent her early years in Louisiana, then moved to Florida, where she met the love of her life, Thomas Jacobs. They moved to Michigan, where they started and ran Jacobs Builders for 30 years, until present. Ann, most known to people as Annie Mae or MawMaw, loved family and the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and her dog Jelly Bean. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Tom, of 30 years of marriage, Lincoln, MI; her daughter, Paige Parker, and son, Robin Parker, of Sikes, LA; her son, Tim Head, of Sikes, LA; sister Violet Shumake of Natchitoches, LA; grandchildren Dustin Parker, and wife, Jessica Parker, of Winnsboro, LA; Courtney Cromer and husband, Walter Cromer, of Houston, TX; Rachel and Laura Head, of Sikes, LA; great-grandchildren Dakota, Grayson, & Rhett Parker of Winsboro, LA; sister-in-law Diane Jacobs, sister-in-law Anne Cox, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by parents Albert and Zona Cox, stepson Dane Jacobs, grandson James Robert Head, mother-in-law, Elaine Jacobs and brother Lee (Pete) Cox. Louisiana memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, LA with Rev. Mike Green officiating. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Michigan memorial services will be held from 12:00 Noon – 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Mountain Bar & Grill in Black River, MI.
