Obituary Jefferson Twp: William H. Terpenning, Jr. passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 8, 2020. He was 88 years of age. William was born in Union City, NJ and was raised in Jersey City. He has lived in Emerson, NJ and Parsippany, before settling in the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson Township in 1967. Mr. Terpenning served in the NJ National Guard for 9 years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. William was an active member of the Hurdtown United Methodist Church and the Lakeland Seniors. He was also a former Boy Scout Leader when his boys were young. He was an avid EBay seller and enjoyed spending time with his family. Predeceased by his Wife Jane in 2008 and his son William, III. Survived by his dear sons: James and his wife Kathy of Florida. Robert and Thomas of Lake Hopatcong. Also survived by his two granddaughters; Sheena of Lake Hopatcong and Amanda of Pennsylvania. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
