EAST BRUNSWICK – THOMAS H. LEDDY passed away on Monday February 3, 2020, peacefully at home. He was 54. Born in Bayonne on December 30, 1965, to Peter E. Leddy Sr. and Mary Arlene Leddy, Thomas remained a life-long resident of East Brunswick. He graduated from East Brunswick High School in 1984 and was a communicant of St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick. Thomas was employed by Fermag Technologies inc. in Edison, prior to retiring. Thomas was pre-deceased by his parents, Mary Arlene and Peter Leddy Sr. Surviving are his long-time companion, Charrel, and their children, Christa and Charles Bennett of East Brunswick; sister, Tara Leddy Cannon of Sparta, and brothers, Peter Jr. and his wife Pam, of Toms River, and Michael and his wife, Ronnie, of Forked River. Tom’s love of sports, politics, Irish heritage and his beloved NY Giants was only surpassed by his love of God, family, friends and country. Thomas loved watching his children, nieces and nephews play sports and was, himself, an accomplished athlete in his youth, excelling at several sports. His proudest moment was being a national record holder as part of a relay team while swimming with the Princeton Aquatic Association. Later in life he would hand out his medals to children at family parties while teaching them about sports. Tom’s lifelong love of swimming was apparent as he loved being anywhere near water of any kind whether it was feeding ducks, fishing, swimming or just about anywhere there was water. Thomas loved being around his friends and family while hosting parties, telling life stories and was always gregarious and the life of the party. Tom also enjoyed watching TV, concerts, listening to music and hanging out with his beloved dog, Roxy. His all around comforting, generous, friendly and outgoing personality will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020, at 10:00 am, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
