Stephen Coffey Sr, age 60 of Ferguson passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 2, 2020. He was born February 8, 1959, son of the late Arvil and Iris Dula Coffey. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Brenda Cannon Coffey of the home, a son Stephen Jacob Coffey (Norma) of Lenoir; step-daughter Sandy Renee Berry of Granite Falls; grandsons Hunter, Benny, Deyton and Matt; granddaughter, Ashley; sisters, Brenda Melton and Camellia Coffey both of Lenoir; two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Laytown Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Woodie and Rev. Steve Coonse officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mackie-Whisenant Funeral Home is serving the family.
