Obituary ROY ARNOLD RICHARDSON, age 88 of Clanton and formerly of Dadeville, AL, passed away on February 14, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Wetumpka, AL on October 21, 1931; the son of the late Ben Richardson and the late Ada Meherg Richardson. Roy was a 1957 graduate of Auburn University; the same year they won their first national championship in football. While in college, Roy was privileged to play on the football team. He would go on to have a 30-year career with Bellsouth where he retired as an industrial engineer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Cemetery in Deatsville, AL.
