Obituary Rollins R. Warren, 74, a lifelong resident of Candler, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at Mission Hospital. Rollins was the son of the late Roy Melvin and Nellie James Warren and was also preceded in death by two sisters and eight brothers. Rollins retired from American Vault Company with twenty-eight years of service. Rollins was a loving husband, dad and “Little Papaw.” Rollins is survived by his wife, Beverly Moore Warren; daughters Angie Warren Ford and husband Ronnie “Rocky” of Candler, Sherrie Warren Smith and husband Scott of Orlando, Florida; stepson Scotty Warren of Candler; sisters Henrietta Hoglen and husband Jim of Leicester and Barbara Briggs of Asheville; grandchildren Brianna “Pumpkin” Ford, Modestah “Desi” Rivera and husband Alexis Rivera; great-grandson AJ Rivera due in March; and many nieces and nephews. Rollins will be missed by his companion Dobbie, his chiweenie known as “Peano.” He was by his side day and night. A graveside service for Rollins will be at eleven o’clock the morning of Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Pisgah Methodist Cemetery (Spirit Life), with Pastor Nathan Parker officiating.
