Obituary Richard “Richie” Wenning, 76, of McLeansville passed away on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lucia Cletta Wenning; daughter, Michelle Pellin and husband Scott; grandchildren Adam, Mary, Jared, Luke; brothers, Edward, Harold, Kenneth; sister-in-law Virginia Wilson and husband Randy. Richie preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helene Pedersen. Richie was a brilliant man with an unbelievable memory that had an avid love for music, trivia, his wife, family, friends, traveling and of course his chocolate, but his favorite was chocolate doughnuts. He kept his family entertained with his Liberace imitations. He was a huge NY Yankee fan and loved sports of all types. One of his proudest moments was having the opportunity to raise his step-daughter Michelle into the woman she is today. Richie was known by all his friends and family as a sweet man that loved animals and cracked the best jokes at the perfect time. He loved spending time watching Jeopardy, Westerns, Leave it to Beaver and reading his talking books. Richie was a Christian Man who had a great love for the Lord and never missed an opportunity to listen to religious programs during his latter years. Richie will truly be missed by his wife and family. Richie will always be remembered for his favorite response to everyone… “Yeah, yeah, yeahhhhh”. A memorial service, Monday, March 2nd, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Christian Bible Fellowship, 1290 Springwood Church Road, Gibsonville, NC with a visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
