Rhonda J. Lee, 67, of Columbus passed from this life on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 4:50 a.m. at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Rhonda was born on May 16, 1952 in Columbus the daughter of Lawrence E. and Thelma L. Hatchett West. In June 1973 she married James R. Lee. Mrs. Lee attended Ogilville Christian Church and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Conservation Council, Ducks Unlimited, and Whitetails Unlimited. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, hunting, fishing, gardening, the outdoors, and remodeling homes. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, James R. Lee of Columbus; children, Isaac Spiehler of Bloomington, Jimmy (Shannon) Lee of Columbus, Richard (Melissa) Lee of Columbus; grandchildren, Tyler Lee, Payton Lee, Aryn Lee, Zachary Spiehler, Malcolm Spiehler, and Bayleigh Williams; siblings, Robert West of Franklin, Ruth (Bill) Acton of Columbus, Larry (Evelyn) West of Columbus, and Lora Labrash of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Robert West Jr. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Family and friends may call for visitation from 12:00 p.m. to time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In keeping with Mrs. Lee’s wishes cremation will follow.
