Patricia’s Obituary Schoharie (Schoharie County): Patricia A. Kennedy, 70, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at her home after a long illness. Patricia was born in Cobleskill, NY on March 27, 1949, a daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Sharp) Moister. She attended Schoharie High School, and after school went to work as a Nurse’s Aid for the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Outside of work, Patricia’s life was still all about caring for others. She volunteered her time when she was younger as a member of the Central Bridge Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. Staying connected to her loved ones was vital to her, and she would spend hours on the phone talking with friends and family, and catching up on people’s lives on Facebook. In addition to her family and friends, she had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs. Pat is survived by her 6 children, Dean Kennedy of Florida, James “Jimmy” Kennedy of Florida, Dennis Kennedy of Virgina, Shawn Van Gasbeck of Schoharie, NY, Lisa Kennedy of Central Bridge, NY, and Travis (Dawn) Hofmann of Central Bridge, NY; 6 grandchildren, Ethan, Collin, Nadia, Brooke, Addlynn, and Bentley; and 2 siblings, John Moister of Schenectady, NY, and Jane (Late David) Miller of Amsterdam, NY. She was predeceased by her parents and two grandchildren, Desiree and Octavian A period of visitation will be held for Patricia at Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Schoharie, from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Donations in Pat’s memory may be made to either the Schoharie Valley Animal Shelter, PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092, or to Scho-Wright Ambulance Service, PO Box 325, Schoharie, NY 12157. The Langan Funeral Home of Schoharie and Central Bridge, along with the Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home of Cobleskill, are assisting Pat’s family during their time of need. Read More
