The family will receive visitors beginning Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 4-9 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church. Visitation will resume Sunday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service. Ola was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devoted wife to her first husband, Joyce Willis, for twenty plus years until his passing in June 1968. She then re-married and was a devoted wife to her second husband, James Martin, for twenty five years until his passing in December 1996. Ola was a woman of strong faith and a faithful member of Freedom Baptist Church for the past fifteen years. She enjoyed telling stories and calling her best friend, Mrs. Dorothy Knapp, three to five times a day to talk. Ola also enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them. Her family says she made the best homemade biscuits and chicken and dumplings. Ola worked very hard to provide for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish Ola’s memory include her son, Rusty Martin and wife, Milissa, of Lake Charles; two daughters, Shirley Green of Leesville and Pam Willis of Alexandria; one brother, Hardy Johnson and wife, Emma, of Ten Mile; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Ola is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Exie Johnson; first husband, Joyce Willis; second husband, James Martin; one son, Teddy Willis; two brothers, J.D. Johnson and J.E. Johnson; and one sister, Ausy V. Maricle. Read More
