Whispell, 51, of the Town of Ulster died Thursday February 13, 2020 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. Born November 29, 1968 in Nuremberg, Germany she was the daughter of Karen E. (Ashworth) Chateauneuf and the late Robert F. Chateauneuf. Melisa had previously been employed by the McDonald’s Corporation as a manager. She had also worked for Lens Crafters. She was an avid reader, enjoyed going to Sip and Paint, long drives and trips to Alaska. In addition to her mother, Melisa is survived by her husband Richard A. Whispell Jr.; her sister in law, Carol Lewellen; her dear friend and “stepdaughter”, Crysta Boughton; her feline companion Mollie. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
