Max Taulbee Saturday February 8th 2020

Saturday February 8th 2020
Max Ryan Taulbee, age 24 of Crystal, passed away on February 8, 2020 from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. Max was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back or a helping hand if you needed it. Max was always helping and giving to others, something he continued to do even after his death by being a generous donor to Gift of Life. Max loved just about anything to do with John Deere tractors and he especially loved spending time with his grandpa in the summer where they would attend various tractor shows together. Max enjoyed being outdoors and it didn’t matter if he was hunting, fishing, camping, or spending time on his pontoon on the lake, just as long as he was outside. Max was also very passionate about his guns and loved to build and collect them. But most important to Max was his family whom he loved very much and who will deeply miss him. Surviving Max are his parents, Jim & Lynette Taulbee of Stanton; grandpa and grandma, Harvey & Beverly Whitcomb of Sturgis; grandpa, James Taulbee Jr. & Ina of Sturgis; son Elliot Ryan Taulbee of Crystal and a soon to be born Daughter Annabelle Elouise Taulbee; his fiancée, Kylie Ely of Crystal; brother, Nick Taulbee (Natalie Boyden) of Ionia; sister, Hailey Taulbee (Benjamin Haines) of Frankfort, Kentucky; uncles and aunts, Tom & Robin Taulbee of Grosse Ile; Myron & Joanne Whitcomb of Sturgis; Vaughn & Karen Whitcomb of Sturgis; Sandy & David McFarland of Berea, Kentucky; many cousins; his lifelong best friends, Luke Switzer and Dustin Beam; his beloved dogs, Moly & Daisey and lots of great friends. Max was preceded in death by his grandma, Phyllis Stevens; uncle, Brian Whitcomb and cousin, Corey Whitcomb. A celebration of Max’s life is being held on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 2-6 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main Street). In lieu of flowers an educational scholarship fund will be established for Max’s children and you are asked to donate to that. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
