Mary’s Obituary Mary J. Dutton was born on December 15, 1938, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Willie Monroe Young and Mamie Ellen (Pierce) Young. She passed from this life on February 6, 2020, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 81. Mary met and later married the love of her life James “Robert” Dutton at the Pauls Valley Court House on May 20, 1955. Together they raised two daughters, Connie and Roberta. She and James were blessed with sixty-five wonderful years together. Mary moved to Lindsay in 1960. She loved her grandchildren and all the time that she got to spend with them. She also enjoyed fishing, bingo, and going to the casino. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Connie Powell and husband Richard of Lindsay and Roberta Williams of Lindsay; her grandchildren, Brandi Hilmes, Jeremy Scruggs and wife Michelle, Chad Scruggs and wife Mary, Corey Jackson and wife Anita, Talley Williams and Mary Williams; and her great grandchildren, Caitlin Jackson, Austin Scruggs, Carson Scruggs, Kenzie Scruggs, Wyatt Scruggs, Rayen Hilmes, Whitley Hilmes, Morganne Jackson, Hailey Jackson, and Alyssa Jackson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Monroe and Mamie Ellen (Pierce) Young, her husband, James “Robert” Dutton, and her three brothers, Raymond, Buck, and Carroll Young. A service to celebrate the life of Mary is set to be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. at the Boydston-Wilborn Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Erin Springs Cemetery, Erin Springs, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
