Obituary Lloyd T. Biehl, W4OUW, was silenced as of February 22, 2020. He went home to be with his savior Jesus Christ due to diabetic complications. He was 95 years old and had been a Ham operator for almost 70 years. Lloyd was born in Mobile, AL, on September 17, 1924 but was raised in Bay St. Louis, MS, there he left high school to join the U.S. Coast Guard in W.W. II where he was a radioman 1st class. After the war, he went to de Forrest Radio School in Chicago, IL, then went to work in Mobile, AL, in civil service. Lloyd was very involved in his religion, he was a charter member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mary Esther, he belonged to the Legion of Mary for over 35 years, he belonged to the prayer group Hearts of Praise for many years until his eyesight started failing, he never missed their yearly conferences. He was also a member of Our Lady Rosary Makers where for 40 years made thousands of rosaries he donated to missions all over the world. He was also a member of the DAV. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert, Jr.; sisters, Helen Pennison and Audrey Carr. He is survived by his wife of over 75 years, Beverly Nelsen Biehl; daughter, Cheryl Wilson (Buddy); sons, Jaime M Biehl (Brenda), Mark J. Biehl (Marty) and Brian Biehl; grandchildren, Lori Wilcher, Sam Wilson, Chris Wilson, Justin Biehl, Ashley Biehl, Cassondria Biehl and Crystal Biehl; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by is his sister, Gloria Sterling of Las Vegas, NV; and many nieces a nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm with a rosary being recited at 7 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church in Mary Esther, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the church on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 at 10 AM. Lloyd will be taken after Mass to Mobile, AL, where he will be interred at Pine Crest Cemetery. A graveside service with military honors will begin at 3:30 pm. He will have made full circle birth to death.
