Obituary Mr. Leon Morris “Chicken Hawk” Taylor, Jr., 73 of Lincolnton Rd., Lincolnton, Ga. entered into rest on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7pm until 9pm at the funeral home. Mr. Taylor, son of the late Leon M. and Dorothy Lorrick Taylor was born on June 4, 1946 in Charleston, SC. He served his country proudly in the US Army during Vietnam and later retired from the US Army Reserves. He was a trucker at heart and had driven many miles as an owner- operator, almost 20 years with Mike Thornton Trucking and more recently, Ed Pulliam Trucking. He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and enjoyed four wheeling as a pastime. He is survived by his wife, Dell Palmer Taylor; son, Leon M. “Trey” Taylor, III; brother, Charles Taylor of Lexington, SC; and sister Vicki Edmundson and husband, Donnie of Aiken, S.C.; nieces and nephews.
