Keith C. Benmark, age 88 of Clare, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at his home. Keith was born the son of the late Howard and Beatrice (Bowers) Benmark on November 26, 1931. He was united in marriage to Ann (Elden) Shively on January 14, 1989 with them enjoying 25 years of marriage; she predeceased him on June 29, 2014. Keith worked 39 years for Consumers Energy; spending most of that time as a Lineman. He proudly served the City of Clare and surrounding townships as a Volunteer on the Clare Fire Department for 21 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling jokes and stories, hunting and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Survivors include his stepdaughters Becky (Jon) Erickson of Ludington and Michelle (Craig) Bott of Clare; step grandchildren Stephen (Ali Gottschalk) Bott of Colorado and Kelsey (Brie) Krogman of Oregon, and his brother Manley Benmark of Florida. Keith was also predeceased by his daughter Janet Rose. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home from 4 to 7 P.M. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 11 A.M. at the Our Lady of Hope Parish – St. Cecilia Site with Rev. Peter Nwokoye officiating.
