Joseph’s Obituary Joseph W. Pilon 1945 – 2020 Chicopee- Joseph William Pilon, 74, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Born in Springfield on June 4, 1945, Joseph was the son of the late Henry R. Pilon and Rita B. (Tetreault) Pilon. In March of 1966, Joe enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served as a Military Police Officer for two years before being honorably discharged in March of 1968. After returning home from the Marines, Joe found a career working as a technician in small appliance repair and he was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Pilon. He is survived by his son, Joseph W. Pilon, II and his wife Heather, of Maine, his daughter Vicki Authier and her husband Ed, of Ludlow and their children Cameron, Brandon, and Caitlyn Authier, and by his sister Dianna Cizek, of Arizona. A committal service with military honors will be held for Joe on Friday, February 7, 2020, at 10a.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
