Joseph’s Obituary Kinder-Homegoing Services for Joseph Allen Guidry, 60, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Indian Village United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Scott Benoit will officiate. Burial will follow at Guidry Family Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes. The family will receive visitors beginning Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 4-9 p.m. at Indian Village United Pentecostal Church. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service. Joe loved spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, gardening and riding his motorcycle. When gardening he enjoyed growing mustard greens, snap peas, tomatoes, peppers and okra. He was a lifelong member of Indian Village United Pentecostal Church. He always had a great spirit and never complained. Joe took excellent care of his daughter. He worked for twenty plus years as a police officer to provide for his family. Joe will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish Joseph’s memory include his fiancée, Shawnie Gilliam; one son, Corey Anthony Duplichan; two daughters, Victoria Nicole Guidry and Mica Fuselier; one brother, Charles M. Guidry, Jr.; three sisters, Christine Perkins, Kay Duncan, and Elizabeth Manuel; and seven grandchildren. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Marel” Guidry Sr., and Elizabeth “Leona” Guidry; and one son, Nicholas Ryan Guidry. Read More
