James Stanley Wiseman January 04, 1934 – February 01, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Saturday, February 1st, 2020, James Stanley Wiseman, husband, father of two, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, passed away at the age of 86. Jim was born January 4th, 1934 in Cave Springs, Arkansas to Carlos and Pearl Wiseman. He graduated from Gravette High School in 1952. He loved playing baseball during his high school years. His favorite position was catcher. He served 5 years in the US Army as a Military Policeman. His time in the Army was spent guarding prisoners. After completing his tour of duty, he was honorably discharged. While being stationed in Carlisle, PA he met the love of his life, Carolyn Blanche Turner. On August 26,1956, they were married and raised two daughters, Karen and Kim. They spent 60 happy years together. Jim had a passion for fishing, gardening and watching the Razorbacks play. Every summer many of the Gravette residents got to enjoy the bounties of his garden. If he didn’t have vegetables to share, he always had a fishing story to share. He not only enjoyed fishing but having fish fries for the whole family. He also loved to feed and watch the red birds in his yard and knew just how many birds were at the feeder that day. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos, his mother, Pearl, his wife, Carolyn, sisters, Patricia McKenzie and Wanda Nichols, and brothers, Robert Wiseman, Donald Wiseman and Bobbie Gene Wiseman. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Brown, her husband Mike, daughter, Kim Greene, her husband Johnny, brothers, Adrin Wiseman, his wife Sofia, David Wiseman, his wife Susie, grandchildren, Shane Brown, Brittany Greenlee, Ryne Stueven, Salina Greene and Johnny Greene; great grandchildren, Taylor, Brayden, Mikayla, Sophia and Mollie. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, AR from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in his honor. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. Condolences may be expressed at www.funeralmation.com.
